Curriculum Vitae

Ugo Trivellato is Emeritus Professor at the University of Padova. From 1980 to 2010 he was Professor of Economic Statistics at the same University.
He hold visiting positions at CES, University of Munich (March 2003); CLS, University of Århus (May-June 2000); the Department of Economics, University of Wisconsin-Madison (1988/89); the Department of Statistics, University of Uppsala (1979).

He served as Dean of the faculty of Statistical Sciences, 1984-87 e 1990-93, and as Director of Graduate Studies, 1983-86 and 1994-97.
His current research interests are: programme evaluation; modelling of labour supply and unemployment; structural equation models with measurement errors.

Presently, he is member of the Management and Methods Coordinating Committee of the project “Post-secondary vocational training courses: Are they effective for Italian unemployed youth with high school diploma?” (European Commission, DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, VP/2013/005).

Senior research fellow at IRVAPP, CESifo research fellow, IZA research fellow, member of the Istituto Veneto di Scienze Lettere ed Arti, member of the Scientific Committee of the Ermanno Gorrieri Foundation for Social Studies.

Member of the Istat’s Scientific Commission on the measurement of well-being (April 2011- ), of the Scientific Advisory Board of the project “Data without Boundaries (FP7-13)” (May 2011- ), of the Scientific Committee of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies for guidelines on methods and procedures to monitor the reform of the labour market (May 2013- ).

In 2005 he was awarded the Ezio Tarantelli Prize for his contribution to research in labour economics.
